Sanitizing and Justifying Bondage

In my porning I come across “clean bondage” sites — I say “clean” because they’re kind of sanitized. They’re clean people in very nice dungeons, with very professional lighting and camera angles. This isn’t a series snapped from a phone on some drunken night where you piece it together the next day like in The Hangover.

Sure, things get a little rough when they shove her to her knees and force a mouth prop or some kind of hook or gag so he can then roughly fuck her throat. She usually ends up with some pretty messed up make-up and hair, and she looks properly miserable if still forcibly submissive as she goes through the various positions on the saw horse, rack, crucifix or whatever…

After all the whippings, nipple and clit clamps and after the tears and the cum dribbling, they always show a nice picture of the Dom and his slave looking tired, but happy together. I think it’s supposed to be some kind of reassuring photo to let you know, “It’s all consensual fun and games, and look, they’re so happy afterwards.”

I think it bugs me because I just assume it’s all consensual fun and as soon as you start putting in these little photos saying, “No, really! It’s all okay! Why would we lie? It’s fine!”

Now, I’m not saying it’s not consensual fun and games, but that last picture always bugs me not because I think it’s fake, but because it could so easily BE fake. “Okay, honey, before we do the soft-core photo shoot we talked about, let’s get a picture of you and Bob…” Then put her in the extra heavy makeup and tie her up. Nothing proves she’s had a chance to clean up a little and settle down on the couch with her Dom and say, “Wow, that was great!

It’s like catching the kid who looks perfectly innocent and then you ask him, “What are you doing?”

“Nothing….”

It’s when they’re obviously considering the question you didn’t ask that makes you wonder what the question was you should have asked…

Look, if you’re going to be kinky, just be kinky. Don’t try justifying it. The folks who need the justifications aren’t going to believe it and the folks who are into that sort of thing will just say, “Cool. Can I have a turn?”

I hate the legal stuff at the beginning and end when they interview the sub. I know it protects the gamers. Having video of you beating the fuck out of a sub or drawing blood with pins and needles as she cries out in obviously horrific pain makes you want to get safety videos that shows she was a willing participant.

It’s a safe sex disclaimer…”Yes, I just tortured this woman but it’s all in good fun and now she can’t sue me *insert dazzling smile here*.”

Then there are the funny “…don’t cum until you see…”

The only time I can stand porn is when I’m already half way there and my brain has started to shut down.
